Image bank - pattern

Image bank:

In the image above the pattern is made out of lines and is give a structure for your eyes to follow. The use of the man made pattern here is clear as the pattern has been thought about and made to follow a certain structure.

In this image a structure hasn't necessarily been followed yet the pattern is still man made. Someone has decided to structure the pieces in this way. While a structure may have been followed, this isn't made out to be obvious as there are different sized gaps and different sized pieces throughout.

In the image above this man made patter has followed a certain structure as the shapes and breaks are the same throughout. The end result of this effective because the whole thing follows the same structure resulting in a pattern that looks nice and stands out.

I have included these 3 images as they are man made patterns. The patterns in these pictures have been put there to follow a design. I like these pictures because they can show you the different environments in which you can find man made patterns. These pictures can range from a complex design to a simple design and it is clear from these images that the person who is styling the form of the patter often has freedom to decide how the pattern will look.

The image above is an example of a natural pattern that may have accrued over time or as a result of a natural disaster. The effective of this means the photo doesn't follow a certain  structure and and lines or cracks in the image are not the same.

The image above is an example of a pattern on a leaf, this is a natural pattern that all leaves will have but none of the patterns will be the same. The photographer would have had to get extremely close to be able to achieve this picture as it is not easily visible. Therefore this is an example of how patterns can be found in many different places, and can be so small that there not always visible.

The image above shows pattern occurring on an animal, again this is a natural pattern as no animal will have the exact same pattern, there will always be a slight difference. This patter has not be tampered with at all and there is no way of changing it.

I have chosen these pictures as they show natural patterns. The 3 pictures I have chosen shows pattern on a plant and animal and a floor. This shows how patterns are all around even on the things you don't automatically notice. These natural patters don't have a particular structure that they have to stick to.
